🧗 The Tower

How it plays

• There is a ledge nobody can reach alone, so the room builds a tower out of itself. Walk up against somebody standing still and the one button becomes CLIMB, which puts you on their shoulders; the next person climbs you, and the next. The button says what it will do wherever you are standing: JUMP on the floor, CLIMB against a body and PRESS at the button up top.
• Only one of you needs to get up there, and whoever is holding the tower up cannot be the one. From the top of a tower two bodies tall the jump clears the ledge, and the button up there opens the door down on the floor where everybody else still is. The room is through when every one of you has walked out of it.

Rules

• How it runs. The ledge is two pairs of shoulders high, whatever the size of the party: one body holding another, and the third jumps off the top. Nobody has to be in a particular place in the line, and whoever is left on the floor is the queue for the next attempt.
• Scoring. The one button changes with where you stand and the phone always writes the word on it. A jump by somebody holding a tower up drops whoever is on them -- they land, they are dazed for a moment and they climb again. It costs the clock, never the attempt.
• Winning. Who climbs is the one thing the game will not tell you; the room says it out loud. Press the button up there and the door opens at floor level, and the room clears only when every last one of you has walked through it. Run out of clock and it stays shut for all of you.
